What Was Measured
Each well's daily production (barrels per day) was recorded before treatment, at its peak after treatment, and once it stabilized six weeks later. All five wells used 2⅜″ tubing in 4½″ casing. FlowTec was diluted with water at 4:1 to 6:1 and the wells were shut in for 24 to 48 hours.
| Well | Location | Depth (ft) | Before (BBL/day) | Peak | Stabilized (6 wks) | Change | Dilution | Shut-in |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | Texas | 4,321 | 4 | 18 | 12 | 3.0× | 5:1 | 24 h |
| B | Texas | 4,198 | 3.5 | 9.5 | 6 | 1.7× | 5:1 | 24 h |
| C | Texas | 6,280 | 4.5 | 7 | 6.5 | 1.4× | 6:1 | 24 h |
| D | Texas | 3,965 | 2 | 6 | 4.5 | 2.3× | 4:1 | 24 h |
| E | Oklahoma | 3,200 | 0.6 | 1.76 | 1.76 | 2.9× | 6:1 | 48 h |
How to Read It
Look at stabilized, not peak. Peaks happen as released deposits clear. The stabilized figure is what the well settled into, and it's the fairer comparison with the baseline.
Compare each well with itself. These wells differ in depth and starting production, so the useful number is each well's own change: from 1.4× (Well C) to 3.0× (Well A).
Note the dilution. Dosing was set per well. There's no single "right" ratio, which is why we recommend one for each well.
What the Data Doesn't Tell You
- It's five wells, in two US states, over six weeks.
- All are marginal wells with the same tubing and casing size.
- Results vary by well and formation.
- We don't yet have Canadian field results. We'd like yours to be among the first.
Running the Same Comparison on Your Wells
- Establish a baseline. Record steady daily production before treatment.
- Record the well. Depth, tubing and casing sizes, and known issues (paraffin, asphaltenes, heavy metals).
- Dose to a recommendation. Our team will suggest a dilution from your volumetrics.
- Shut in and reopen. Hold for 24 to 48 hours, then monitor returned fluids.
- Track for six weeks. Log daily production and note the peak and where it settles.
If you'd like to run a trial, tell us about your wells and we'll help you plan the treatment and the measurement.
